Righto, old bean, you need to spend a little of the old Euro (and your mate).
Easiest way up; Purchase raspberry pi 2B 16gb micro SD card speed 10 (or whatever it is called) San disk is good. Download Max2play OS image and burn it to card using WinScp. Join the Max2Play club for 10. Connect the pi to the Fritzybox, with the Ethernet cable,install the card in pi and load the OS. Install LMS on the card, do the DASH thing and connect to Blighty for the radio. simples. I can give you a link for a preconfigured image (I'll make one). The radio connects to the pi and you do the controlling with a phone app. I know that sounds a lot, but it really is pretty simple (lots of help from here). The pi hides away gathering dust, you can save your favourites as pre-sets on the Radio, then later you buy a dac for the pi and connect it to your hi-fi. What do you think?
