One point occurred to me, and to you, no doubt. If that previous version were in some way defective (but not so defective that the image files had not been installed), a subsequent roll back might not be the life saver that one wants. A potential brick hazard. Perhaps unlikely, unless one is tinkering. Prudence seems to be telling me always to install a newer firmware over the known good 7.7.3 R16676.
