You're quite possibly right about the group - i'm very nearly 40 now and
well into my post-charismatic phase.  There's 8 members in
MXUG<http://groups.google.com.au/group/mxug>so far (solely from this
ruby list). I still think people might be pretty
keen on it though if publicised on some other lists - surely Brent, Mike,
Korny and I are not the only people in the world that want to hear people
deliver short focused talks about weird stuff like clojure, lift, ioke,
haskell, potion, factor ...
Regardless, I certainly do care about the ruby group and have every
intention of trying to contribute my ruby and non ruby insights (for what
they're worth).  It seems perfectly reasonable to present stuff like jquery,
silverlight, flex etc. to the ruby group but wouldn't presentations on
django, wicket, lift, spring etc. be a little incongruous/irrelevant?
