I counter your offer sir. You're all bright people right, so how about
you write an IMAP filter (I won't help, since I'm old school and I'm
happy with the Delete button) that detects whether an email is a job
post (hint: Bayes filters through the classifier gem), and
automatically does something with the email through a plugin system.

Bonus points if you include a default plugin for deleting the email,
as well as a, wait for it, plugin that reads the body of the email and
fires up a growl notification like in "#{body} LOL" with a little
image alongside of a finger pointing at it.

That way, people who joined the list merely so they could post a job
won't have to be arsed with adhering to awesome guidelines. The rest
of us who don't fret over job postings can go on deleting or
forwarding them to friends who are just starting. And you get to tweet
about something cool, or kinda.
