i wonder if  we  are  confusing  methods  with goal. the  same  materila  can be  presented in a  differne t format and still be the same  material. Some districts   have  found that overheads or reading some  parts. Rember  this discussion started out  with how each district  breacks  down the lessons. Some  do it in  weekend  formats some do it in quartlerly  formats. Are  we  talking  meathods or are  we talking  material. If the material is  being  taught  so the  elements  are  covered are not the same  goals  being  met. Some  dtudents  learn best being  given the  basics  and  discovering the  answers. Some  students  need  alittle more  guiding and  help.example   one  teacher might   just  give  a sample devotion and   then explain how  he derived at it  while  anohter might  just  explain  what  a devotion is  and then  ask the students  to  give a  devotion and  discuss among themselves  the  weakness or  ways  to improve it. either  way  the  concept  of  the  devotion is taught jmho Harry smith
