Unless it's possible that your ISP (Internet
Service Provider, for those of you who may question) has a virus detector on
it? Mine does, but they send me an e-mail. They quarantine potential
viruses and send me a link where I can safely view the potential virus.
Then I have a choice of deleting or having it sent to me. It may be
possible that your ISP does much the same, but do not notify you. They are
keeping you from having to worry about viruses, along with all the stresses of
life you already have.
I also get similar notices about "Potential Junk
Mail" ie, spam, but it isn't always effective. Some spam comes in as
"opt-in" something. My ISP sees that and think I signed up to receive
something, even though I didn't and my e-mail address was probably sold or
otherwise shared from another company before I was smart enough not to click on
links in certain types of e-mail.
