I have an example for you guys as to how bad some things have gotten. I am an instructor in California. I see hundreds of "kids" come through here every year. I had a young man come into my class saying that he never received his high school diploma( a requirement for the Marines). He said that his recruiter basically met him at school and told him he had to leave( two weeks before graduation). Alot of these youngsters have gotten steered in the wrong direction. They have been made promises of things that will not happen. If you know anyone contemplating enlisting in the military please remind them that this isn't the only way to pay for college. They actually seem surprised when I point this out to them.

(Major discount department store to real America) It seemes no real American can afford American USA goods<G> Why- the President is cutting a deal reduceing tax on Stock dividends when real Americans scramble to feed themselves and stay employed is a picture of the "Gulf War".. 40% of Americas wealth is in the hands of 4% of the population. Often the way to "Make big money" is to end jobs! Not all Americans drive new cars or invest in fashion. I find it hard to beleve that a high school grad can find a job anywhere doing anything that will afford a apartment/utilities and food and transportation! This is a real enemy to Freedom! -------------------------------- No Draft? How about snappy TV ads of the Army "*Be all that you can be!" This is the selling point to my son- His High School *welcomes military recruiters on campus. Josh almost has a "friendship" on a first name basis with professional's saddled with the task of finding manpower for the military war machine. They sell soft- They sell adventure-opportunity- security... On the civilian side of what an 18 year old see's is *Un-employment or enrolment in College or training to allow him to enter the work force.. *WAITING LIST- *Meanwhile.. a universal draft would give kids a shot at the trasition into responsibility, while society gains from their manpower.. The Goverment of America should be about *People not "War Winning" -=a=- Today, > I would probably be living with you fellows somewhere in the > US if not an overly nitpicking consulate lady would not have cancelled > my > permit immediately after it was granted me. > The ink was still wet. > > Guenter > > 45.5N122.7W schrieb: > > >--- "Guerrero, SGT-Jason J" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > > > > >> I would have to agree on some points.
