If you can't run, walk.
If you can't walk, crawl.
It's horses for courses.
I moved from the city to the country recently, and in my new church, a
woman indicated that she wished to become a Christian following a sermon.
The pastor called out ladies to lead her to the Lord at the alter. They
couldn't. Pastor called me out to lead her to the Lord.
Why could I and not they?
They were Christians. They love the Lord. They can relate to folk and share
Christ with them.
But out there something happened and they froze or felt they were not up to
the task.
The benefit of being trained al a LTC is that when you freeze you have
something to fall back on. Now that I know the LTC 15 point soul winning
plan [phew - it is a mouthful] I always use it. I don't know if I use all
15 points or not :-) but I do always use the five scriptures I memorised
and marked in my Bible.
If I fail, I can always fall back on my training.
This is why training is so important.
Train your leaders. Train yourselves. When you know the material - you can
wing it. But you've gotta know the material!
Blessings,
Victor.
