Hi All,
Question. In Royal Rangers we have established a uniformity all across the
country and the world. If we were to start changing that uniformity, it would
not give us all the common ground that we are so familiar with. I know that
right now, I could go and visit an Outpost almost anywhere and would know
what to expect because basically the uniformity already has established the
protocols. If that was to be changed and everyone was off doing their own
thing, that would loose the uniformity and I believe in a child's eye would
confuse him beyond repair. If I had a boy who was doing everything as is
now, go to a new outpost of where they were doing something different, would
that not knock out the common ground out from under him? Rangers has a
certain air of relatability everywhere.
I was sorting through my stuff and found a picture of the 1990 South
Carolina Powwow patch. It said on it "Strong Heart Pointed The Way" A
reference to Cmdr Barnes. The picture on it reminded me of the sculpture
that Bro. Deaver had made.
(I can zap this picture to you privately if you wish) But I just want to say,
let's keep the main thing the main things. I would recommend writing
National office about our concerns whatever they may be and at least we would
have tried. Even if it gets round filed, We did our best.
Blessings,
Iron Mike
