Hmm, if you want to open up a can of worms! I can't remember the 
exact figure but when I read some work by the creation scientists it 
came to the conclusion that the Earth was only thousands of years old 
(if I remember correctly, less than 10); so the process would have to 
be relatively speedy. (BTW I found their arguments more convincing 
than the evolutionists but I may be just a little biased <g>). 

If you want to argue, I suggest you get hold of their material 
(videos/books) and argue with them as I am no scientist.
