I like wild ideas like that. Let's discuss it some.
First of all, I am rather pleased with the missionary fundraising we did
and are doing in conjunction with the 1999 Cyber Pow-Wow. We have had a
part of starting Royal Rangers in 2-3 Russian cities, and providing
emergency aid and the Word of God for children and adults in places where
the need is extreme. That is good, indeed. Most of the money we raised came
from selling "stuff" (patches, T-shirts, and bolo ties), but there were
some good donations, as well.
Naturally, we can (and should) all donate money to help spread the Gospel
of Jesus Christ through our local assemblies, various missionaries, and
other ministries already. There is nothing stopping you from doing so,
today. The only real question should be where exactly the Holy Spirit is
leading you in particular to give. I am in touch with many such ministries
and missionaries, and know many of them personally, so this is pretty easy
for me -- except that I always wish I could give much more.
Here is my proposal. If you want to pool money to send to missions from
RangerNet (in addition to what you do through your own church), then send
it to:

and mark it as a RangerNet donation. We will then distribute it as the Lord
directs. If you want more control over where the money goes, then you can
send it directly to whatever missionary or mission the Lord has laid on
your heart, instead.
