The Boy Scouts have a form that is used to place patches on the
uniform correctly. You place it up to the shirt and it has every
patch placed correctly on it. That way you can easily sew them on
right or inspect them. It also has a grading form on it for
inspections.
I think we should have a sheet like that for Rangers. Too many times
we send home the "raw" shirt and who ever sews them on gets it wrong.
It would be nice if we had an example sheet that could be sent home so
that we don't cause extra work or kids embarrassment.
Just a thought.
As for Uniforms...
I think that a boy wearing the uniform to the meeting is the best, but
if a boy doesn't have one or doesn't wear it Praise the Lord he is
there. We use a summer uniform of RR T-shirt but I have never liked
it as well as the "real" uniform. I encourage the boys to wear the
"real" uniform all year and I always try to wear the uniform to any
meeting we have.
Maybe we need to develop a "summer" or cooler uniform for those of us
down south?
