Show me a T-shirt and I will show you romper room.
The manual says a T-shirt is not a uniform. Read the RR Leaders Manual.
It explains very clearly why Uniforms are important. Drop the uniform
and you gut the whole ranger program.
Now as far as summer months go. Run a test. Take one Campout outitng
where everyone wears a Kaki RR uniform lets say down by the River a hike
and swim. Then two weeks later take another Campout outting wear
everyone wears shorts and a t-shirt. Then ask these questions. (Sure
take off the merits, and pins, name tags, bolos and frills)
1. Did anyone ask you about what you were wearing and did you get a
chance to tell them about it.?
2. Add up all the scratches, cuts, and Posion Ivy, stubbed toes, burns,
sun burns or injuries.
I think your facts will reveal that even in Hot weather the Kaki is a
better choice and it won't make you 1 degreee hotter. O...but what about
play time at the Weekly Meetings. I have seen T-shirts take the 20
minuted alloted play time and strech it out to 1 hour and 29 minutes of
play time. Romper room.
Brothers, T-shirts and shorts are for campouts not weekly Ranger
Meetings. Keep striving to be the best you can be as unto the Lord.
