The trend in summer is for fewer storms to cross, as the sun heats the
north latitudes and that builds high pressure. (Northwest folks develop
a keen understanding of weather forcasting)
*You might think Royal Ranger outposts would flock to camp in the remote

The truth is that.. shock'nly.. Most Outposts shut down!

I have seen us drop off in attendance every summer since starting Rangers in
93. However I do feel that we should keep it going through the summer as
best we can in order to not have to work so hard in the fall to get up and
running. As for Outpost's 45s camping this summer we had four camping trips
planned. Two are behind, PowWow in June, and one last weekend where we
camped on a creek bank and fished and swam from Friday evening and all day
Saturday. All had a great time. The next two are our Section summer campout
next weekend and two days of canoeing and camping on August 20-22.
Commander, I do have a question for you. I believe you have a son in scouts.
What do the Boy scouts do in summer? I thought they shut down, but don't
know. If they do, what effect does it have on them?
