Hey RangerNetters:

I thought I would respond to this post, even though I lurk all the time.

A couple of weeks ago our Children's Church staff went to a week's conference
in Pensacola Fl. at Brownsville AG. They evidently had researched the
Pokemon cards and game and found it to be demonic.

I don't know the exactly what was taught about it, but this past Sunday
the glory fell on a large group of children in Children's Church as they spoke
a little about Pokemon.

There were 4 boys who came forward and voluntarily gave up their cards
and wanted them destroyed. One boy had a huge collection. The
Children's Church Pastor took the children outside and proceeded to
build a bon fire with the cards.

After I made it home from service, I live on church property, my son came
running home and collected everything he had with Pokemon on it and
put it on the fire.

I don't know if it was because of making the cards an idol or that they
were demonic but I do know the Lord touched a large group of children
and they gave up something they cherished or idolized for the Lord.

Yours in Christ
Jeff Freeman
