This is the first time i've had time to read a post through in a while...
this one peaks my interest, since my kids loke Pokemon... can someone send
me reference info on the subject? (Sorry if you already have, i've been
deleting instead of reading due to heavy time constraints). I'd like to see
references, since i'm all too familiar with the "Smurfs" and the noise that
they caused in the 80's with their supposed "demon possessed wallpaper" and
such nonsence.
Blessings,
Andy.

Subject: Re: [RR] Pokeman Cards
Hey RangerNetters:
I thought I would respond to this post, even though I lurk all the time.
A couple of weeks ago our Children's Church staff went to a week's
conference
in Pensacola Fl. at Brownsville AG. They evidently had researched the
Pokemon cards and game and found it to be demonic.
I don't know the exactly what was taught about it, but this past Sunday
the glory fell on a large group of children in Children's Church as they
spoke
a little about Pokemon.
There were 4 boys who came forward and voluntarily gave up their cards
and wanted them destroyed. One boy had a huge collection. The
Children's Church Pastor took the children outside and proceeded to
build a bon fire with the cards.
After I made it home from service, I live on church property, my son came
running home and collected everything he had with Pokemon on it and
put it on the fire.
I don't know if it was because of making the cards an idol or that they
were demonic but I do know the Lord touched a large group of children
and they gave up something they cherished or idolized for the Lord.
Yours in Christ
Jeff Freeman
