        Hi Greg,
  Iron Mike Here.  I was always lead to believe that each patrol would have 
it that way ideally, but for some unknown reason it doesn't always get to 
work out that way. 
  With my outpost, having the 6 boys as I do, I didn't elect to have the 
position of Sr. Guide mostly because the boys were not yet ready for it.  I 
had the patrol guide, and assistant patrol guide, but it is difficult keeping 
them focused.  My new Trailblazer, I decided to have him be the Sr. Guide 
because he has demonstrated that he can be committed to the role, but even 
then he sometimes defaults to just being silly. (can't say that I'd blame him 
either) The holidays are going to pass and things will be able to get back on 
track without the crazy schedules that everyone keeps during the holidays.  I 
haven't quite seen it like the NTC example anywhere and if I understood it 
correctly, that is how it is supposed to be.
