I love your revelation, it resolves an ongoing struggle of mine why the Bible often refers to the male gender as a generic form (referring to both male and female), Thank you.
As far as women serving right next to men I am a little concerned about
what has happened in Boy Scouts Of America. First of all let me clarify
myself that I condone equality for women and men to serve at least in Rangers
on the same level as men. The lady that took my place as a Buckaroo Commander
really does a great job with the boys and has some great input into our
outpost. She is different than some women in that she loves the outdoors
and some activities that men like to do. We respect her need to be feminine
yet we accept her into our mens talking as well. I am concerned about some
women taking offense about what we do as men and boys on campouts etc.
In Boy Scouts there has been some rumor about men and women Scout Masters
getting a little too attracted to each other even though for me it is not
much of a temptation. I also saw at District Round Tables women turning
down ideas because they thought they were too rough etc.
Before I get into too much trouble I would ask some of the Royal Rangers
in foreign countries that have girl Rangers.
