I have deleted what has gone previously as this message is not a direct follow on. A short time ago I attended a training session of the Boys' Brigade. The opening worship was conducted on the NT passage of our no longer being slaves, but Sons of God (MPJ should be able to provide the reference <g>). Because there were a number of women present the speaker chose to say, "Sons (and daughters) of God". Immediately following that I got a Holy Ghost revelation that he was wrong to say that. Being a "Son of God" is nothing to do with gender it is all about status i.e. having the rights and privileges of the male heir. Also, this pronouncement was not directed solely at men but at Christians; so I could only reach the conclusion that women have *equal* status with men in the Church. If this is the case in the Church, why not in Rangers? [BTW equal status means that women are eligible for all positions in Rangers, including National Commander].
