Mike I am working on a ROY Guide this year. As the "NEW" Springfeild
South Sectional Commander that is one of the things I want to see
developed. Since I will be over the Section ROY program I will put
together a ROY Guide that will point parents and leaders to success for
their rangers. If we all know what to expect at test day the rangers ...
all of them will be at their very best!

As far as the point system and campouts. Use the point system but don't
use it as a filter to keep boys from camping. During the campouts that
time is invaluable in building Christian relationships with our boys.
The Council Fire time is the very best time to reach boys for Christ.

We reward quarterly point award earners. The SA and Buckarros their
point system is different then the rest of the outpost but the guides
should be keeping the point sheets up right after opening ceremony. It
takes constant work and dilgent checking to be sure it is getting done.
Its important to keep track and reward and praise the boys for their
points. (it seems like a lot of work but if we don't do it lots of
things fall between the cracks)

Keep on Keeping on for Jesus!
