Title: RE: [RR] Council Fires

I personally would never use a Rocket Engine in a Council Fire.  They are very explosive.
I have seen pictures from Model Rocket test that have blown up the test Stand.  That was
all part of the checks for putting out the chute at the end of the flight.  For the safety of the boys and your self I would say no.  However, I would recommend using the engine starters and the firing circuit to start a fire.  You can wire the starter to get your spark then you will have to use

something flammable to get going.

Subject: [RR] Council Fires

I'm trying to find a creative way to light a council fire for our upcoming
sectional SA/B campout.  Anyone have any ideas?  I've used brake fluid
and chlorine in the past, but that doesn't work so well any more with
the fire retardant in the brake fluid.  Any hints about using a rocket
motor?  I have some available but I've never used one.
