Brake fluid and chlorine work well in the right quantities.  This is one you 
want to test in a safe place well in advance.

Put some dry chlorine in the base of the council fire. Next to that, place a 
paper cup of brake fluid. Prop up the cup with a stick and tie a 
string(fishing line is almost invisible) to the stick.  At a given point, 
you can pull the stick out and dump the brake fluid onto the dry chlorine. 
In about 2 - 5 seconds, the mixture will ignite with a bang.

When testing, start with a small amount of each.  I have seen some very 
large explosions with this mixture, so be careful.
