I have no qualms about Special Ed, there are some children who
really need it. I am glad they didn't have it when I was in grade school.
I was a slow student and didn't study home work. Unfortunately my two
younger brothers was put in that class. Toby when he was in Kindergarten
was hit by a car ( he was a little slow). Jon had and has trouble with
speech as well as slow. For these reasons they were put in the program. I
feel they pick students who may be a little slow, instead of trying to
help them other ways. In fact Jon never got speech help, like they do
now.
Toby has gone in to college for one year, because of finances at
the time he had to quit. Toby is a very bright person, he understands and
helped build this computer.
So while some children need it desperately, others need a little hand
on hand attention. Now I have had my say. I hope I didn't sound harsh.
