Mike:

I must respectfully disagree.  After 4 children (2 done, 1 in high school,
1 in middle school, 2 of which were home-schooled for 7 years), I have
a different opinion about school (although not education).  I agree that
education is vitally important, but the education that you can give these
boys is on a par with and usually exceeds what they receive in school.

With my oldest two children I would never let them miss a day (unless
they were in the hospital), but I'm much more relaxed about it after
the homeschooling experience.

Having said that, I need to realize that it puts a burden on me to educate
the boys when they are at a Ranger event - not just provide them entertainment!
