Why do we have to disciple anyone? Do we not trust Jesus? As soon as someone
gets born again we start laying burdens on them. Do this; don't do that. I
remember a preacher once saying that when he got saved, some christians
said, "Good, that means that you will not be going to the cinema any more".
His reaction - if that's christianity, I don't want it. Jesus said that he
did not lose any that the Father had given to him. I do not believe that he
ever will. One evangelist (Moody?) was confronted by his opponents who
brought to him a "convert". The man was hopelessly drunk. When asked if this
man was one of his converts the evangelist repled, "Yes, but unfortunately
he is not one of Jesus's".

You may be aware that my sister recently got saved. I resisted the
temptation to start to "guide" her. Because it is a genuine conversion her
hunger for God is there. She continues to attend our home fellowship group.
She prays. She reads the Bible. She receives revelation from the Holy
Spirit. She attends local services. All without any prompting from me or any
other members of the home group. We are very good at saying, "Let go; let
God". We are not very good at doing it.
