I've been pretty busy, and haven't had a chance to respond to many posts on 
here, but this one deserves it.
  I have often wondered the same thing. At the last church I went to, it 
seemed that the primary prerequisite for being on the church board was that 
you NOT be filled with the Holy Spirit. Now this is an A/G church, and I 
have seen the Holy Spirit do some great things there. But the people who 
were supposed to be the leaders were the ones who never showed up at 
intercessory prayer, got mad if someone denounced Pokemon (because thier 
kids were playing it, and if thier kids played it- then it simply could NOT 
be wrong), and had no time for  anything that bore any  resemblance to 
evangelism. I never did seem to fit in with this crowd. Oh well...
