I have an ADHD son and can tell you that ritalin is
not the answer. We tried it for two short months. Turned out to be two months to
long. It worked great while he drugged up but he was one
mean/angry individual when he was coming down off the drugs. I have also
heard that when a individual is going into the military that his past
prescription drug history is taken into account, if ritalin is taken for over a
two year period they may reject that individual for military service. >From what
I've read ritalin may work for the short term but may lead to long term
mental and emotional problems.
