John was it a lockin or a campout?   If it was the LTC campout and you didn't campout then you need to campout.  As the years go by many might want to fudge on this issue as I have seen many do.  The point of the matter is Do as I say not as I do does not teach what it is intended to teach. 

 

I have served on 5 or so LTC campouts as a Staff member each one I camp with the trainees.  Most of the time it is in the model campsite.  The rest of the staff sleep in the church or other buildings.   If during this one campout we can't teach by example then we need to step back and rethink the whole reason for this campout. 

 

I have been told by Staff at a National Camp that the reason they sleep in the Lodge with all the comforts of home is so they can be fresh and minister to the NTC candidates.  My take on this is if they camped out with those they are there to minister too there wouldn't be nearly so many essay's and Knotty would be rotting in a ole box of bad ideas.  It would be nice to see them lead by example.

 

If one can talk the talk but not walk the walk they are by their own example a bunch of hot air.  Commander if the conditions are too tough for you to camp out there then don't expect your boys to camp out there.  If you give sulfur water to your boys then you drink the sulfur water as well. 

 

The So MO Staff hear this from me every year.  But my heart is to lead by example.  We have our LTC campout this next weekend. I look forward to the fellowship and the hearts that are poured out during this campout.  Last year we had 50 there.  This year we are hoping for even more!

 

So if your LTC Staff camp in a building get a cannon and show the recruits how to pull it up to the door of the bunk house and load it up and well you know the rest of the story...BOOOOOOM!  .heheheeh GRIN!  Just have a good alibi.

                 Hey there thought I would give a testimony, about the LTC 4 Camp-in(out).  I calling it a Camp in for that, see we camp in the building.  I wanted to camp out side.  I would go into all the details but not going to do that.  God was at the camp site, there people getting to know each other, sharing testimony of what going in there life, how God saved them, basically we were giving God all the glory.  We had little light sprinkle rain, of courze that is a good thing.  It is a Ranger camp:)  I wish I remember all the details.  However I did remember this and this was awesome, and it is true.  See one of the trainnes got his LtC pin, and the Disctrict Cmdr was talking about a scripture.  He asked us, that since the guy got his pin.  Is okay for him to step back relax?  Should the National step back and do all the light work?  See what I am getting to is that as long as there are people that here on earth that needs to know about Christ.  We should go out and reach them.  It could be through RR, intercedding for someone, Street Witnessing, etc.  The only time our retirment comes, is when Christ says.  "Well done good and faithful servant".  My challenge to all, including myself.  Is do something for Jesus, teach a Sunday School, Royal Rangers, intercede for someone, whatever it may be.  Let your light shine upon men(think that is the scripture0
