"course.. they did...

At Powwow the "norm" drops away and we anythang
fer the boys.. I was stand'n on the .22 course
and as the boys waited I began lectureing on
Chapter 9 of Adven. in Camping and the psycological
aversion we have to "bug eat'n"..

To make my point I grabed a passing grasshopper
and ate it! *Suddenly the front row went..

"YUCK!" and the back row rushed forward<G>
"What did he do?" *So I was give a second,
and a third hopper..

*Later.. Back at the RR Ranch...

A Mom came up..

"Cdr.Duane, my son says he learned to eat bugs
from you.. That you say they are proper food.
Is this true?"

*There I stood in befuddled glory...Face red.

As a charter FCF member, I come from a long and proud
line of Bug eaters.. *Yet, the context of Chapter 9
is lost when the "moment" has passed. In other times,
I've stood around spinning my 15" Bowie knife on
my finger... for Mountian Man effects.. or mayby even
crossed the line in other ways as a true example..
of a proper role model.

This is when "prudence" is more valued than "color".

Perhaps we lose sight sometimes of the MAIN THING.
