Just got back from a TB outing to Johnson's Shutins in So. Mo. Started out Saturday morn with a 10 mile hike up around and back Mt. Goggins. It's just 1440 feet but the 10 miles was the point, not the elevation. Then in the afternoon we hit the shutins for some "swimming". It's one of my favorite places. Black River flows down through a series of bolders and pools. You let yourself be carried down the small waterfalls on different paths and then for fun try climbing back up through them. The guys loved it! That pretty much finished them off: they were all asleep w/i 5 miles after leaving. I love that part!
