Well my brother Noel, when the world looks at Frontiersmen with the same view as is currently held about the Medieval period, then FCF will have to change or die a slow death.

All periods of time have had their good and bad. What is important is how Jesus shines through us to the world. Will people see Jesus in us if we are portraying a period of time that is perceived to be evil by the general public. Let me give a very poor example.

What if we started an organization based on Nazi Germany. Call ourselves the SS for Jesus. Sounds outlandish, doesn't it. Or how about the Huns (Attila) for Jesus. See what I mean. The preconceived thoughts we have about these times would not lend themselves to being very good vehicles for carrying the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

People of today only see the evil of the Medieval time period. To promote an organization based on this time period would cloud the ministry portion we are trying to present. Of course, a counter point could be made that such an organization would draw in those who are looking for the evil in it. Thusly, giving it's members the opportunity to minister Jesus to such lost souls.

Let us continue to pray that society does not look at the Frontier time period as evil. This way we can continue to enjoy the fellowship and service unto our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Keep praying and if it seems that nothing is happening then P.U.S.H.

Pray
Until
Something
Happens

Subject: [RR] COR - FCF

All,

Since the knight theme is "pagan".
Maybe there shouldn't be an FCF.
I mean after all your frontiersmen drank, smoked, cussed, gambled, ect. Not your Christian role model.
Yet though FCF reaches men and boys. Why?
FCF is a christian fellowsip.
If a program works to reach boys for Christ.
I think we should stand behind it.  This means even if the theme is the knights. Its harder to reach boys today then it was 30 years ago. Just my .02 cents.
