I have been biting my tongue on this but for now I have to put in 2 cents worth.
I have been to secular rendezvous and though I walked among them and joined in the events for that time period, I still didn't comprise my walk. We held church and you would be surprise how many would come to our church. The next time there was more for the church had grown. Went from 15 to 35 so you can walk with them and spread the good news with out compromise. 2 Cents is up.

I have to agree with you there!  :>)

What if we started an organization based on Nazi Germany. Call ourselves the
SS for Jesus. Sounds outlandish, doesn't it. Or how about the Huns (Attila)
for Jesus. See what I mean. The preconceived thoughts we have about these
times would not lend themselves to being very good vehicles for carrying
the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The difference is that the times/people you mentioned weren't Christian or
Christian-like then - knights (as Michael Harris explained) were.

Let us continue to pray that society does not look at the Frontier time
period as evil. This way we can continue to enjoy the fellowship and
service unto our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Even been to or heard about some of the secular rendezvous?  Based on how
they act - and how people think about them - it'll soon be time to shut FCF
down.  If we continue to stop doing things just because the world has turned
them evil we'll soon be stuck in our homes and not be able to go anywhere or
do anything.

We can't let the world take everything over - they've already gotten the
rainbow, the stars, and now the medieval period - what's next?

Michael
