Brother Clint, What gives you the impression that the
requirements in the new LMA program are being watered down? There is nothing harsh about requiring the
wearing of a uniform where a commander is concerned. You can check with Jonathan Trower on
this, but I’m certain he’ll confirm it. On the point of ‘waiting’ for
the new LMA program, I can see how that would make sense, but to an untrained
commander, I say, get as much training as you can. Laine, Speak to the instructor and see if he’ll
be willing to work with you so that you can get your funds together to get your
uniform in order while you’re taking the course. Depending on the instructor, it may be a
possibility, provided you have a complete uniform before the training ends. Have some fund raisers in your outpost to
get those uniforms. Nothing wrong with that. Parson. -----Original Message----- This comes from someone who has
taught and staffed more than a few LTCs and LTC campouts. It is harsh. In a couple of weeks, I will
be doing inservice training as Camp director for the first pilot of the
new LTA. (Leadership Training Academy). I recommend that you wait and take
that. It will be much more user friendly.
