Not really, you have about 2 seconds before you get zapped.
What causes this is the "feeder" of the lightning. It's like a very small 
lightning strike. This is followed by millions of "feeders" coming onto this 
path and following it to the earth.

The best way of avoiding a lightning strike is to be in a place where you 
are less likely to get hit.
