Just curious - why isn't Razor2 implemented as a better/faster upgrade from
Razor1? Are there incompatibilities? Is the user base so large that they
couldn't be converted over to Razor2 in a not-too-painful fashion? I found
the Razor1 (actually, it's just called Mail::Audit::Razor on CPAN, or is
that simply a front-end to Razor?) and Razor2 distinction to be confusing.

Okay thanks for the tip. I did finally get around to reading the INSTALL
file, and this step is well-described there:
1. Download the latest v2 razor-agents tarball from
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=3978
2. Download the latest v2 razor-agents-sdk tarball from
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=3978
Untar and run:
perl Makefile.PL
make
make test
make install
[...]
As a suggestion, I think placing the INSTALL instructions on the Source
Forge site would be helpful.

Right, I first installed Razor from CPAN, but I think it didn't work out of
the box so I went on to finding/building Razor2. (by not working out of the
box, I mean that I probably needed to do a razor-admin -create step, but
didn't).

This is probably the critical step that I missed. Perhaps -register did some
of the work of -create -- enough so that I could then use Razor2?

See above. Also, keep in mind that I did first try installing/running
Razor1, apparently without doing all the necessary setup steps.

Hmmm, this seems a surprising place to put such information. Do all CPAN
Perl installs do this? I'd have expected /etc maybe, or /share, but I can
see how they might be NFS-mounted or some such, thus obscuring the
definition of "the system".
