The problem with that is you don't get to modify the properties, so pinning
RBG95_32.exe on the taskbar wouldn't let me then change it to specify a
start-in directory, location of a cfg file, etc., all the other options that
you would want to modify in the properties of a shortcut.

Hi Karen

The option does not appear on the shortcut but it does on the executable.

Yep, we checked again, and "pin to taskbar" is NOT a right-click option.
Windows 7 Prof.

Could have sworn I checked for a right-click "pin" and it didn't have one.
I'll try again tomorrow, thanks!

Karen,

Right click on the desktop icon and select “Pin to taskbar” and the excusable
will be pinned to the taskbar. To remove it, right click on the icon on the
task bar and select “Unpin from taskbar” and that is all there is to it.

Computers are Windows 7 Professioal. We have a desktop shortcut that points to
the RBase 9.5 exe which is running from the server. We cannot drag it to the
taskbar. As soon as it gets in there, we get the "no" symbol. Taskbar is not
locked. We can move other desktop icons down there. Their IT guy says you
cannot move shortcuts that point to programs running on the server. Is that
true?
