Hi Razzak, Thanks for your suggestions. Sorry for the delay in replying.
What I have found after further 'experimentation' is that when I open the RBG.chm file from Windows Explorer on my ZBook (the machine where the help is not 'working') I see that the task appears on the task bar but I cannot maximize it. [image: Help.jpg] However if I use Windows Explorer to open the identical RBG.chm on my other laptop, over the network, then the window opens correctly on the ZBook. If I click on that task on the taskbar it switches between being minimized and visible as it should be. Thus, it seems that the RBG.chm Help is actually 'working', but for some reason it is 'stuck' as a minimized window. I note though that the other .chm files on the ZBook all all open correctly. I tried Help from various 'places' within R:Base but the only one that I have found to work is the Tutorial. (Help topics does not work.) The help task doesn't appear on the taskbar when I try to use Help from R:Base, but the Tutorial does, In regard to running this from the C:\ drive are you suggesting I install R:Base there ? (Sorry - I am not quite sure what you intended I try.) I note that this all used to work. Maybe something is awry with my machine. I can workaround this by using Windows Explorer. Thanks for your help. (No pun intended.) Regards John Docherty On Thursday, June 9, 2022 at 5:53:12 AM UTC+12 A.
