Graying out buttons is not something that can be done it 6.5, maybe in 7.x but I haven't tried it with buttons. What David and others explained was putting columns or variables on top of each other. I wouldn't be suprised if you could do this with a button in 7.0 -- will have to get back to you on that one.
I have requested this, as well as menu items for V6.xx a long time ago as an enhancement, but I know that would be a monumental task, and don't expect it until v7.x or maybe 8.x

Is it possible to "grey out" a button in form, based on the value of a variable?
