WordPad is fine for _most_ things - if you want to tart it up save as a .DOC and then open in Word.
Much quicker than opening Word for every document - if you don't need all that pap. Most of my text document files (*.txt, *.fle, *.cmd) are associated with WordPad in Windows. If I want to use another program I can...
