Yes, there is, but I don't know where to get them at this time. I saw a demo for a surgical instrument tagging system that used laser printed labels. These labels were made to go through multiple sterilizing cycles - that is, they could withstand 270 degrees at 30 lbs. pressure for sometimes 25 minutes. Then there is cool down, use in surgery, then it starts all over again, sometimes many times a day. These were user printed and obviously waterproof and heatproof. I'll try to find out where to get them - the rep that demo'd these didn't like me very much because I had already developed an instrument set-up system in R:Base, of course.....so he may not be willing to share...but we now all know they do exist. There is yet another sub-subject and that is the labels that go along with them. Has anyone found blank label form that one would use (for example) on books in a library. A label that is pretty strong, with some sort of water proof covering. Thanks to all for the coverage on bar codes. Ken
