Thanks Jim and Albert I saw it and now I will test it even if my latest finding doing in the loop a lot of zip cmd /c copy listfile.txt lpt5 which is exatly the command beeing executed last before i get NTVDM error message. For a while I thought that putting ths cipy /c copy .. outside the loop would help and it did for awhile, but later back to square one
