A custom program would have to be written to read the structure and elements (objects) of the PDF Form, then propagate as closely as possible the representation of those objects and their layout in the textual representation of an RBase Form.
When you consider the nuances (properties) of each of the elements of a PDF form, you can imagine the task to reproduce / interpret it into its RBase (or any other ) counterpart is less than trivial. ----- Original Message ----- From: "DAVID" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "RBASE-L Mailing List" <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, May 01, 2008 12:14 PM Subject: [RBASE-L] - Re: IMPORTING PDF FORMS > STEVE, > > I HAVE ADOBE PROFESSIONAL WHICH ALLOWS EDITING HOWEVER I JUST WANT TO IMPORT > THE LAYOUT TO USE IN REPORTS NOT FORMS AS I INDICATED. > > DAVE > > > > > On 5/1/08, Wills, Steve <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: >> >> Following up on Bill's answer, Dave, which actual "layer" of the PDF are >> you trying to import : >> > the document/layout? >> > the form/fields? >> > the data that is input into the form? >> >> I ask, not because I'm an expert here, but possibly to focus your effort a >> bit.
