David, I put in an enhancement request to allow importing of pdfs for use in reports, as well as suggesting that RBase have an option to generate editable forms, as reports, using the Adobe LiveCycle system, some months ago. When I last looked I saw that these were both 'slated for RBase V9', so hopefully the features you are after will be available in the future. Perhaps Razzak may be able to let us know when the new version is likely to be released ?

When you consider the nuances (properties) of each of the elements of a PDF form, you can imagine the task to reproduce / interpret it into its RBase (or any other ) counterpart is less than trivial. ----- Original Message ----- From: "DAVID" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "RBASE-L Mailing List" <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, May 01, 2008 12:14 PM Subject: [RBASE-L] - Re: IMPORTING PDF FORMS > STEVE, > > I HAVE ADOBE PROFESSIONAL WHICH ALLOWS EDITING HOWEVER I JUST WANT TO IMPORT > THE LAYOUT TO USE IN REPORTS NOT FORMS AS I INDICATED. > > DAVE > > > > > On 5/1/08, Wills, Steve <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: >> >> Following up on Bill's answer, Dave, which actual "layer" of the PDF are >> you trying to import : >> > the document/layout? >> > the form/fields? >> > the data that is input into the form? >> >> I ask, not because I'm an expert here, but possibly to focus your effort a >> bit.
