RDP runs over port 3389. If you forward this port to any XP RDP
enabled PC (Right-click My Computer, select the Remote Tab, tic the
Allow Users to connect remotely to this computer, click Select Remote
Users to choose the accounts allowed access) your service partner can
access the machine. Keep in mind that only_one_person_at_a_time will
be able to connect to this machine. If someone else tries to connect
to the target PC, they will get a warning about the other user logged
in locally.

I've set up both Terminal Server environments, which can get quite
costly, and also alternative solutions. You could also look into
WinConnect Server XP, which for a smaller investment, does the same
thing on an XP workstation, simulating a TS environment.
