Karen was kind enough to send me her create statements.  I don't think the 
problem is the size of column names.  Once the table is created.  And you can 
do a list showing it is created. A browse of the SYS_TABLES shows that the 
table is 3744 characters well below the max of 4092.  If you do an INSERT 
command in v7.6 for DOS or v7.6 for Windows. You experience an unrecoverable 
error.  In DOS you are kicked to the dos command prompt.  This happens in 
earlier versions of RBase for DOS.

Does any one on the list have a table with the number of columns appracing over 
740?
