Marco,
The solution Razzak is talking about was just outstanding in terms of speed and
experience. I hope this becomes available for general consumption in the near
future, it was VERY slick.
Right now I am working on something similar as you but using remote desktop to
go to a secure directory on a server. I use the compiler to create an exe file
for my app.
The RDP solution is a fudge, not the optimal, but as was noted in a previous
message web programming is not for the faint of heart. The other option is
R:web and codecharge studio, but this is also not quite the experience as
having the cool R:base forms and app visible to the users.
Just for the record, my remote desktop solution is pretty fast, as fast or
faster than some of the Oracle apps I have used in my workplace with a higher
data stream!
Good luck
Bob C

Marco,

If you would have been at our 10th Anniversary Celebration
Conference last month, you would have witnessed a *new*
R:BASE C/S application and all solutions, to be announced
and deployed soon, when the time is right, or we get the
complete feedback from our Government/Corporate customers.

Two sample applications, "R:DCC Client" and "R:Customers"
were demonstrated "live" with audience participation.

FREE R:BASE Client is also included on the 10th Anniversary
R:BASE Developer's Conference USB flash drive to submit
enhancement requests or bugs for RBASE 7.6, Turbo V-8 and
R:BASE eXtreme (v9.0).

Folder: 2008_Conference\RBTI\RDCC_Client
Files:
RDCCClient.exe, RDCCClient.chm, RDCCClient, ReadMe.txt

Very Best R:egards,

Razzak.
