Marc If you are going to have more than one person using the database and files I would suggest that they be on a server, does not have to be the web server. I would shy away from putting them on a workstation.

Memory, cpu etc.. The advantage would be that R:Web would allow access through browsers (IE, Firefox). You could also have people remote into the server and run R:Base V8 from the server this way you everything would be R:Base code.
