While I tend to keep forms small myself, there are certainly instances in which forms larger than the screen are called for (eg, reproducing long paper forms). If such forms weren't contemplated in Windows and R:Base, those products wouldn't support scroll bars for forms (sliders are something different, a control that allows incremental adjustment using one or more handles). As far as I know, v9 is beta software and automatic support of scroll bars on large windows is the kind of thing I'd expect to change between releases. If you submit your problem I'm sure they'll fix it in the next release. -- Larry
