No matter which "windows" direction they go, it'll be a complete re-write if you skip the DOS upgrade component entirely.

Given their experience with 4.5, there should be only one logical choice of product.

Jim:  Nope, isn't going to happen for this client!  I had them send me a
couple programs.  Here's a line of code (I have substituted some numbers
here):
      vcount = 1
      v2 = 2
      vcount = .vcount + .v2

This works in 6.5 DOS, does not work in 7.6.   So unfortunately they would
have to pay me to clean up their 4.5 code FIRST so it can run in 7.6 DOS.
If I can put them on DOS 6.5, we spend "good" money to instead start bringing
them into 9.0!

Unless they are using variable forms from DOS 4.5 I believe their code
should run fine on v7.6 for Dos. I am doing that and simultaneously upgrading
to v9.0_32 which works fine.
