It's a really big app, with alot of programs. There's no way this tiny family-owned manufacturing place could afford to pay for upgrading the entire app at once unless I was willing to take small payments against the account for probably years! Otherwise I can really see it taking well over a year that they would have to wait to get any windows functionality at all. I'm not sure they'd be up for that, but I will present it as an option!
I know that some people think that businesses shouldn't be watching their money that closely, but where I live businesses are justifying every penny that comes out of their hands. I really would like to see this place get upgraded so they can become an RBTI customer again, but I need to find the absolute cheapest way for them to be able to do it. And the cheapest way (which might not be feasible) would be to get them on DOS 6.5 so that their existing code will work, and also upgrade to 9.0 if possible (or 7.6 if not) so I can slowly port their applications month by month. That's what I'm trying to work out with RBTI sales team now! That way they will only be paying for 1 R:Base upgrade and you won’t > have use DOS at all. > >
